Jeff Beck and Brian Wilson – Sony Centre Lithium Review

Violinist/vocalist Lizzie Ball was a force and possibly commanded as much attention as Beck. Rhonda Smith was ferocious on the bass, and as with the other musicians in the band, had a great time letting the instrument do the talking. A cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Little Wing” was pulled off with Beck’s signature flair. “You Know You Know”, a John McLaughlin cover gave Smith another chance to pound out a bass solo. “They Won’t Go When I Go” from Stevie Wonder was given new life in Beck’s hands, with his guitar singing it out…
