Another successful visit to Mexico in Lizzie’s role as ambassador for Prisma
Lizzie returned home from Mexico just a few days ago , having completed another successful tour for PRISMA, Morgan Szymanski’s project set up to help children and the vulnerable by hosting workshops and concerts across the arts. Lizzie visited extremely remote schools, where children have little access to anything at all let alone artistic fun and games so it was an extremely life affirming and special experience to be able to share music making with these special ‘ninos’. Lizzie also visited the old peoples/learning difficulties home in Tepozlan , which brought home the power of music to uplift and help those who are mentally or physically challenged. GREAT fun was also had with the rest of the PRISMA TEAM including crazy brilliant Irish percussionist Peter Crann, who made an entire percussion orchestra out of garbage for the children so that every child had an instrument to play, for free! Experiences like these are special and few and far between.
