With one eye on the stormclouds, the Britten Sinfonia played two lakeside sets at this weekend’s Latitude Festival.
The Sinfonia prides itself on its individuality – eschewing conductors and collaborating outside the strict confines of the classical world, with the likes of Nitin Sawhney and the Michael Clark Company.

Among the 23-strong troupe at Latitude was violinist Lizzie Ball who has been with the Sinfonia for four years.
The 28-year-old allowed the BBC News website to follow her around her first festival with the orchestra. Here is how her Saturday unfolded…
